Today is Father's Day. Many will say that good things about Father are remembered today only but that is not the case. Today is just an opportunity for us to be grateful for the contribution he has made to our lives.
A friend of min told me that if i write on any problems, then I should wirte its probeble solution also. And if I writes on a general subject, I should write that what should be more better in that subject.
So today, on the occasion of Father's Day, I have written about the characteristics of a good father and how to be a better father.
A good father is pillar of strength, support and guidance. A father is someone you can rely on, someone who is your role model, someone who is strong, determined, obligated to do the best for his family. A father is like water in a ocean. Without water, the ocean will never exist.
Father has 3 responsibilities
1. To impact and influence values
2. To provid a strong identity
3. To provide a moral security
When a father fulfills these responsibilities effectively, then children will grow up with a moral values and not easily swayed by undesirable influences. They will be confident of themselves.
Qualities of a good father
A wall of trust and security:
The kids shoud be confident that his or her father is always there whenever they want some help or whenever they are in trouble.
The children believe that their father is always right. He will never lie to them, he will never betray them, he will never leave them in the lurch. That is the trust a good father builds in a child.
The source of encouragement:
A father is a source of encouragement of his kids. Be it a cricket match or a drawing competition, presence of a father at the venue gives mega boost to the child’s confidence.
Has the patience to listen:
A good father takes out time to listen to their children. He gives his kids undivided attention and tries to understand things from their perspective.
Respects the mother:
A good father teaches his children how to respect their mother, and this he does by respecting his partner. He honors her views and does not argue with her in front of the kids
Father is the best teacher:
A father teaches lessons not just for academics but about life. He shows how children can channelize their emotions when met with failure or disappointment, how they can use their energy for their good, how they can plan their careers or study hours.
