 Diligence and Patience

Once Lord Buddha was going to preach in a village with his followers. On the way before that village, they found many pits dug at various places. Seeing those pits, a disciple of Buddha expressed his curiosity, after all, what is the meaning of the pit being carved like this?

Buddha said, in search of water a person has dug so many pits. If he patiently dug a pit in one place, he would have got water, but he would dig the pit for a while and if water was not available, he would start digging another pit. Along with working hard, one should also be patient

Moral of the story: Be patient while working hard. Many times people work hard but do not have patience. But who keep patience,  it becomes very easy for them to achieve success.
